June 17, 2016 – San Francisco, CA – The Meeting Pool, the global authority for event technology marketing, news, information and directory listings for event marketers and professionals, this week celebrated three years of providing unbiased information on technology solutions for the events industry.

Since its launch in 2013, The Meeting Pool site has featured hundreds of news items, reviews, how-to articles, tips and best practices, product comparisons and interviews with leaders from a community of meeting professionals, marketers, bloggers, event planners, technology experts, and more.

One of The Meeting Pool’s most popular offerings, the TECHbar, brings live technology workshops and demonstrations to meetings and events. It offers attendees hands-on experience with a gadget lab featuring the latest in tech and other business-oriented solutions. The company has led the event tech education market with the innovative concept, which combines the ease-of-access of a genius bar with a breadth of tech knowledge honed in both Silicon Valley and in the event industry.

“The Meeting Pool grew from an unmet need we saw in the events industry,” said Tara Thomas, CMO and editor of The Meeting Pool. “When I worked with our original founders, our initial idea was to create a directory. We all worked with tech companies and knew that tech was a rapidly emerging area in the industry with few educational resources. That became the focus of the directory site, and TECHbars began to coalesce soon after. And the brilliant epiphany was that the experience worked well for any professional event, not just those for the industry.”

In addition to the industry portal and TECHbars, The Meeting Pool also serves marketing consultants to event tech companies desiring to grow their business. Working closely with event professionals and marketers, as well as hands-on with participants at events, gives the team a unique perspective found valuable in the space.

“The Meeting Pool has really evolved into an authority that knows the event tech world intimately and can provide valuable insight to a broad base of client segments,” continued Thomas. “We may have started out as a directory, but it’s been incredibly fulfilling to grow into a go-to resource for meetings industry decision makers. We can’t wait to see what the future brings us as we continue to evolve.”
