Fresh on the heels of a $20 million investment round, cloud event management software provider etouches today announced the acquisition of Zentila, whose enterprise SaaS software provides smarter venue sourcing and booking for corporate and third-party meeting and event planners.

While financial terms were not disclosed, as part of the acquisition, Zentila’s founder and current CEO Mike Mason will join etouches as Vice President, Sourcing and Hospitality Solutions. He will lead etouches’ efforts into the hospitality market.

“Our clients are in constant communication with hoteliers and the hospitality market, and adding Zentila to our offer will further strengthen that bond and squarely meet our clients’ expectations,” said Oni Chukwu, CEO of etouches. “As the top preferred alternative for enterprise clients globally, it is a responsibility that we take on with pride. I am very delighted to add Mike and his industry groundbreaking team to our company to further cement our top position in our fast-growing market.”

This is etouches second hospitality booking acquisition in just the past year as the company purchased the hotel and venue sourcing engine INEVENTION in mid-2015. “Zentila represents a perfect complement to our industry-leading platform,” said Shane Edmonds, CTO of etouches. “Zentila’s product, technology, and staff will bolster etouches venue sourcing and allow us to offer a fully integrated solution as part of the entire event management software process.”

In the first half of 2016 alone, the events industry has seen a handful of acquisitions, investments, and market shifts that demonstrate that the industry is growing in leaps and bounds. Stay tuned!
